The Germania Mint 2026 Bödvar Saga: Loss Vengeful 1oz Silver Coloured Bullion Coin tells a dramatic chapter in the story of Bödvar, an invincible warrior whose life is forever changed by tragedy and the search for justice.

The obverse captures the devastating moment that sets Bödvar on his quest. Bound in chains and powerless to intervene, Bödvar watches as his village is consumed by flames and his wife Astrid dies. With her final words, he learns that their daughter Sunneva has been abducted. Overcome by grief and anger, Bödvar vows to find his daughter and begins a relentless pursuit of justice.

The reverse continues the mythology with the sacred Mount Thorbjørn, depicted as a monumental rocky bear representing strength and divine power. The Sowilo rune is carved into the bear’s forehead, while waterfalls flow from its mouth into the rivers below. A magical runic circle surrounds the design, with a shield bearing Germania Mint’s double-headed eagle positioned among the bear’s stone teeth. Chains encircle the composition, symbolically connecting Bödvar’s fate to the mythical mountain.

Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, the coin combines intricate relief work, colouring and an antique finish to bring the world of Bödvar to life.
