The 2022 World’s Most Famous Bridges – Brooklyn Bridge 5oz Silver Shaped Proof Coin is a spectacular tribute to one of New York City’s most recognisable landmarks. Part of the World Famous Bridges series, this impressive release combines 5oz of .999 fine silver with high-relief detailing, selective gilding and vibrant enamel to create a striking representation of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

The uniquely shaped coin features a magnificent view of the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. The bridge is partially gilded and rendered in high relief, creating an impressive three-dimensional effect, while the surrounding skyline forms the upper portion of the coin.

Below the bridge, the East River is depicted with a vivid blue enamel finish. A small boat travelling along the river adds another layer of detail to the scene, representing the waterway separating Manhattan from Brooklyn and Queens.

The obverse features a detailed representation of the Statue of Liberty, surrounded by a stylised Manhattan skyline. The Coat of Arms of the Republic of Congo is also incorporated into the design, together with the inscriptions “REPUBLIQUE DU CONGO”, “5000 FRANCS CFA” and the 2022 year-date. The inscription “BROOKLYN BRIDGE NEW YORK” appears prominently at the top.
