The Perth Mint Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Bullion Coin is a popular Australian bullion release, combining 1oz of .9999 pure silver with the iconic imagery of Australia’s native wildlife.

Struck by The Perth Mint, each coin contains 1 Troy oz of 99.99% pure silver and is issued as Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The reverse features the classic image of a bounding red kangaroo surrounded by rays of sunlight. The design includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, The Perth Mint’s distinctive ‘P’ mintmark, the year-date, and the coin’s weight and silver purity.

The obverse features a portrait of the reigning monarch for the year of issue. Depending on the year supplied, this may feature Queen Elizabeth II or King Charles III.

The coin also incorporates a micro-laser engraved authentication feature on the reverse, designed to help protect against counterfeiting. This small feature can be detected under magnification.
